Workshops are a powerful way for teams and individuals to take a deep dive into elevating leadership skills, leaning into purpose, and exploring specific aspects of diversity, equity, and inclusion topics, and learn with peer-to-peer engagement.

These enriching experiences can happen even when delivered virtually and allow for the development of informal learning communities.

These workshops are offered to teams belonging to an organization or individuals seeking their own professional and personal development outside of a team environment.  Unless otherwise stated, our public workshops will always include a critical mass of people of color. We unapologetically curate this environment to ensure that we model norms that encourage new perspectives, vulnerability, and experiences that elevate inclusive leadership.  Attendees persistently remark on the uniqueness of this approach and their experience of new vantage points for learning, connection, and growth. RARE Confidence: Overcoming Irrational Beliefs & The Inner Critic

This workshop will support you in understanding the imposter syndrome and the inner critic. You’ll learn to isolate the self-limiting narratives that we tell ourselves and subconsciously believe. (Often offered for groups that centers people of color or women only.)

Attendees will be able to:

  • Identify and disempower self-defeating and self-limiting narratives
  • Tell a new story
  • Disarm sources of disempowerment
  • Identify irrational beliefs
  • Explore the beliefs that easily become ammunition for our inner critic
  • Learn the mindset that will serve as an antidote to beliefs that serve to limit, exhaust, and steal your joy

Transactional v. Transformational Approaches to Leadership and Equity

This workshop supports organizations invested in developing transformational leaders who will connect with and inspire the most important resource, the workforce.  Leadership that creates transformational cultures relies on a learner mindset, successfully navigating change, and attending to our fears and emotions.  This is also how we get to diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaces.  We believe in operationalizing success for sustainability, so we also provide methods and practices that support and foster inclusion, belonging and psychological safety.

In this workshop attendees will:

  • Understand the traits of a Learner mindset v. a Knower mindset, and the impacts of both
  • Consider the ways that toxic productivity and perfectionism are core barriers to a Learner mindset
  • Recognize the difference between transformational and transactional approaches to equity
  • Learn what it takes to enact inclusive leadership
  • Learn to manage change at a reasonable pace

Dare to Lead™ Workshop

This workshop, based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to become a braver, more daring leader. Courageous leadership is comprised of four skill sets that are 100% teachable, measurable, and observable. In this program, you will develop the skills it takes to be a courageous leader, have tough conversations and show up with your whole heart. At the end of the workshop, you’ll be certified as Dare to Lead Trained. Aiko infuses equity principles throughout her delivery of this workshop.

The Dare to Lead™ training program is focused on learning the four skillsets of courageous leadership:

  • Rumbling with Vulnerability – Learn how to face risk, uncertainty, and tough conversations with courage, clarity, and empathy.
  • Living Into Your Values – Identify what you stand for and how to show up from a place of integrity every day.
  • Braving Trust – Discover how to build meaningful and authentic connections with your teams, colleagues, and customers so you can work together from a foundation of trust.
  • Learning to Rise – Become aware of your emotions and stories and learn how to show up and lead with courage – even when faced with failure, disappointment, and setbacks.

Being a part of these workshops will help you raise your confidence, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence.

You’ll rechannel emotional labor to thriving energy as you learn to set boundaries and increase your self-compassion. Gain the support and skills you need to foster empathy, trust, and connection within your professional and personal community. You’ll also improve your leadership skills, as you learn how to name and honor your values and voice. Those who are underrepresented will feel connected, less alone, heard, visible, and inspired. Attending can also be an opportunity to create a new professional community.
